Dr. Kent Julius made the decision to become a veterinarian at age 5. He now has over 20 years of veterinary experience. He has owned and sold two veterinary hospitals in the DFW area, with a combined team of over 40 staff members and 8 doctors.

Dr. Kent grew up in a small Illinois town of 500 people, with farmer grandparents and a father who worked on the railroad while raising horses and cattle. At age 9, his dad placed him in charge of nursing an abandoned, frostbitten newborn calf back to health. Kent raised this tailless, earless calf into a tame, healthy, long-living cow, solidifying his desire to become a veterinarian.

He had to overcome significant financial and personal obstacles to achieve his goal. At one point in college, while living in government housing that did not allow pets, he was forced to sell his toy poodle for $20. In 1999, he finally became the veterinarian he always knew he was meant to be. In 2003, he moved to Frisco, TX to open his first veterinary hospital, and in 2017, he purchased an additional hospital.

As a Dallas resident, Dr. Kent is a loyal fan of America’s Team. He pursued a partnership, and in 2018, his company was selected as a partner of The Star in Frisco, becoming the only veterinary organization they had partnered with. He also became the Official Veterinarian of the Frisco RoughRiders.

Dr. Kent demonstrates 110% dedication in everything he does. He often starts his days with early morning Ironman training or weightlifting and has found success as a professional in the drug-free fitness industry. He enjoys almost any outdoor adventure, including wakeboarding, hunting, backpacking, scuba diving, snowboarding, and anything in the mountains.

In addition to the thousands of animals he has helped, Dr. Kent is most proud of his service to God through Grace Church Plano, as well as the joy he finds in his family and his amazing teenage daughter.
